Every board meeting ends with the same quiet moment. A slide lands. Someone asks where the number came from. The answer, if it comes at all, is an analyst’s name and a vague gesture at “our research.” This is how strategy breaks, not in the decision, but in the distance between the decision and the evidence.
For decades, consulting solved this by throwing associates at it. Juniors chased every claim to its source, footnoted every projection, defended every assumption in a grilling. The output was trustworthy because it was verifiable. Then the world sped up. The armies got too expensive, too slow, too staffed with people who had just learned the frameworks. The verifiable part got cut for time. Decks got thicker; evidence got thinner. Generative AI made it worse, now the footnotes don’t get skipped, they get invented.
We think this is fixable, and we think the moment is now. Three things had to be true before you could build strategic intelligence an enterprise could actually trust: foundation models good enough to reason inside frameworks and methodology, not just summarise around them; orchestration cheap enough to run hundreds of specialised agents in parallel; and provenance tooling mature enough to pin every claim to its source, all the way down. All three are now true. We are building what is possible with them.

Consulting isn't broken because consultants are bad.
It is broken because it is the wrong shape for the decision velocity of a 2026 business. You cannot pay millions and wait fourteen weeks to learn what you already half-suspected.
AI isn't an analyst. It's a research floor.
The interesting question isn't whether one model can replace a consultant. It is what hundreds of specialised agents, working in parallel with full provenance on a single question, actually looks like. That is a different product.

Everything else — the analysis, the framework, the recommendation, is downstream of whether the reader can trust where the facts came from. If they can't walk the chain backwards, the work was theatre.
